Rhonda
Kifer
Certified Interior Environment Coach (CIEC) and
CIEC
Advisory Team Honored Chair
As principal of Rhonda Kifer Design Associates,
Rhonda quickly built a reputation for creating
exciting one-of-a-kind interiors for both
residential and commercial spaces. Her clients
enjoy the inspiration, professionalism and common
sense approach she brings to their projects.
After accepting an invitation to teach a design
class, Rhonda was hooked on education and the
process of facilitating those interested in
learning about professional Interior Decorating.
Her passion for sharing and teaching others how to
create beautiful and functional homes grew into
the formation of her subsidiary company,
Decorating Workshops, in 2001.
Rhonda has combined her years of experience and
skills as an interior designer, project manager,
business owner, and instructor, to offer a variety
of fun, creative and educational decorating
workshops for adult learners at the Community
College of Allegheny County in Pittsburgh
Pennsylvania as well as through her website. She
also teaches decorating workshops for the adult
education personal development program at Bethel
Park CC and other surrounding communities as well
as for the
DeGangi Group.
Rhonda
is the author of
INTERIORS IN
Season
decorating,
and her work has been the subject of many public
interest articles in newspapers and special home
magazine publications.
Known
for creating timeless interiors for her clients,
Rhonda believes every detail inside and out is
important to the success of the design; while
harmonizing the client's vision with architectural
purpose. "My job is to help my clients combine the
elements of design to produce an atmosphere that
makes them feel good about the space they live in
or work in every day".
Rhonda's philosophy: "Interior decorating is about
more than acquiring furnishings and collecting
things - it's about creating a home that's safe
and pleasing to the senses; where your spirit is
nurtured and hospitality is extended to others".
When we asked Rhonda what inspires her most, she
says her clients and her students. “Each one has a
distinct personality and creative ideas and dreams
to share. They are the one’s who give life to the
design projects and add exciting challenges to my
decorating workshops.”
Rhonda studied and completed course training at
the Earl Wheeler Success School, the Chicago
School of Interior Decoration and Design, the New
York School of Interior Design and the Pittsburgh
School of Interior Design. She has also completed
course training in interior redesign and home
staging. Her professional affiliations include
CID, IDS,
Decorators’ Alliance of North America
(DANA),
Certified Interior Environment Coaching (CIEC),
and the Pittsburgh Builders Association. Her
work includes traditional style homes and
commercial spaces that have been written about or
featured in publications such as The Almanac,
Washington Observer-Reporter, Pittsburgh Post
Gazette, The Peters Township Source, The South
Fayette Source and The Pittsburgh Tribune Review.
